Summer dresses are one of the most difficult things for me to shop for. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m picky, I can’t find what I like for the price that I want, or the dress just doesn’t fit quite as nicely as I want.
I went ahead and searched the internet for some inexpensive dresses that do not sacrifice on style and are great for even the pickiest shopper (like me). I separated the dresses out by some of this year’s biggest dress trends.
1. Puff Sleeves
Puff-Sleeve Linen-Blend Mini Dress from Abercrombie – $79 $47.40

The puff sleeves add just enough oomph to this otherwise classic dress. The linen-blend allows the dress to be breathable and perfect for those hot summer days, without it getting as wrinkly as your average all-linen dress. I’m wearing this dress in white in the featured image of this blog post. Abercrombie prices fluctuate alot so make sure you keep checking in to make sure you are getting the best price.
Draped Polka Dot Dress TRF from Zara – $59.90

There is so much to love about this dress. It combines all of 2020’s most popular styles: puffed sleeves, a tie-front, and ruching. Throw on a pair of heels and you’re ready for date night.
2. Small Front Slit
Wide Strap Mini Dress from Abercrombie – $75 $22.50

One of the issues I have with many dresses is that they can appear a bit too formal for everyday. While I know the saying goes “you can never be overdressed”, I just feel more comfortable in a casual dress if it’s for day to day. This dress is perfect for this. With a pair of chunky sneakers, you would have the cutest summer outfit. Abercrombie prices fluctuate alot so make sure you keep checking in to make sure you are getting the best price.
Tie-Front Cami Dress from Abercrombie – $75 $45

I’ve seen similar dresses to this one on Reformation and other websites for a lot more than $45. This is a perfect way to get the look for less. Abercrombie prices fluctuate alot so make sure you keep checking in to make sure you are getting the best price.
3. Animal Print
Petite Cream Zebra Print Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress from Missguided – $61 $30

I am so happy that animal print is back in style – I’m in love with this zebra print and I think the dress can be worn for many different occasions. This dress is a petite size so the length will be perfect for any shorter gals out there.
Stone Leopard Print Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress from Missguided – $61 $30

If you’re a klutz like me, you’ll appreciate that this print does a great job of hiding any spills or stains.
Wednesday’s Girl Mini Cami Dress with T-shirt Inner in Leopard Print from Asos – $43

The built-in t-shirt under this dress is fashion-forward and makes this dress perfect for day-to-day. This is great for family BBQ’s, going shopping, or heading out for something to eat.
The draped polka dot dress from Zara is so cute!! :O
