The Effortless Pant Dupe

Wide leg trousers. They’re not just an office pant anymore. And if you don’t already own a pair, then you definitely need to get some. They’re a more comfortable and put-together alternative to jeans, and I’ve found that I can’t stop reaching for mine when I’m putting together my outfit for the day.

Lately, the most hyped trouser is Aritzia’s effortless pant. And I get the hype. They look great, they fit well, and they come in different lengths (say goodbye to that trip to the seamstress). The only problem is that they’re $148. And there’s no way I’m going to spend that much money on a pair of pants even if I love the way they look.

Luckily, I found two less expensive dupes to the effortless pant. And honestly, they look pretty much the same as the more expensive version. The prices listed below are accurate as of December 13, 2021.

Wide Leg Menswear Pants from Zara $59.90 CAD

If you like getting compliments, then you need to get these pants. For one, they truly are high-waisted. And that’s high praise when it comes from me because almost every pant, regardless of whether it’s advertised as high-waisted or not, is always hitting me below my belly button. Secondly, these pants are the perfect amount of flowy without being too baggy and drowning you. Thirdly, these pants are great for all you tall girls out there. They’ve got some serious length to them.

Lila Pleated Straight Pants from Dynamite$59.95 CAD

If you’re looking for a colour other than black, these pants are a great option. They also come in silver, grey, and black. I would style these with a pair of white chunky sneakers, a light-coloured long wool coat, and a cream or white sweater. If you’re feeling fancy, you could also style them with a pair of heels and a cropped tank top.
