Scarf season is finally here. The weather is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter, and Christmas is in the air. In a cold climate like Canada, I’ll take all the coziness that a scarf can give. Lately, I’ve been noticing one scarf in particular has been getting alot of attention in the fashion world: the Acne Studios multi check scarf.
Usually, I’m not much of a colour person. I prefer to keep my outfits to monotone colours of black, white, and grey. I know, I’m boring. However, I kept seeing the multi check scarf on my Instagram and honestly, the scarf has started to grow on me. Maybe colour isn’t all that bad?
Imagine my surprise when I looked up the scarf online and found that not only was it sold out on just about every website, it was $390 CAD. I don’t know about you, but I’m not about to go and spend that much money on a scarf. So, I set out to find some dupes. And I was able to track down 5 cheaper options all under $50 CAD. The prices listed below are accurate as of December 21, 2021.
1. Plaid Scarf from Oak and Fort – $48 CAD
I like this scarf because it’s colourful without it being too colourful. It’s perfect for those of us who are new to adding colour to our wardrobe. It also comes in a blue/grey version if you want something a bit more subdued.
2. Guifier Lightweight Oversize Plaid Scarf from Amazon –
$19.99 CAD $17.99 CAD
This scarf is so similiar to the real Acne Studios scarf that I had to show you guys a side by side comparison. The Acne Studios scarf is on the left, and the Amazon scarf is on the right. If you have your heart set on this colourway, you might not be able to find a better dupe than this one (especially at this price).
3. Brushed Plaid Scarf from Zara – $45.90 CAD
Tip: always check the men’s section. You might be surprised at what you might be able to find. I found this scarf in the men’s section and you would never be able to tell if I hadn’t had told you.
4. Yellow Multi Plaid Brushed Scarf from Missguided –
$40 CAD $20 CAD
Here’s another one that is so similiar to the Acne Studios scarf, that I have to show you the side by side comparison. The Acne Studios scarf is on the left, and the Missguided scarf is on the right. All you’re missing is the Acne Studios logo.
5. Oversized Madras Plaid Scarf from Dynamite –
$29.95 CAD $20.96 CAD
I love that the colours on this scarf are more of a subdued pastel that will make it very easy to style with the basics in your wardrobe. Plus, it’s on sale. Who doesn’t love a sale?
