Shop the Sale: SSENSE

SSENSE is one of my favourite Canadian companies because they carry designer brands like Gucci and Prada, but also carry more affordable brands like Levi’s. I recommend waiting for their sales, which happen twice a year and usually start towards the end of their Winter and Summer collection. The sales last several weeks and can go up to 70% off. Tip: their items usually go on deeper discount towards the end of the sale period.

Unless you’re looking for a specific item, their sale section can be a bit overwhelming because so many of their items go on sale. So, I went through their sale section so you don’t have to. Here are the top picks that I found.

1.Levi’s Blue 501 Original Cropped Jeans – $100 $67

I ended up buying these jeans myself because I love that they have minimal fading and no distressing. I also love the length of the jeans. Being only 5″4, finding jeans that I won’t have to hem is very difficult. Because these jeans are already cropped, the length fits me perfectly.

2. Levi’s Blue Wedgie Straight Jeans – $120 $55

I love these jeans because they sit high enough to cover the belly button so you can wear shorter tops without feeling too exposed. Being able to snag them for over 50% off is a steal.

3. A.P.C. Black Croc Louisette Bag – $460 $308

A.P.C. first came onto my radar when I noticed the A.P.C. Demi-Lune Bag being worn on the streets of downtown Vancouver. While I love the Demi-Lune Bag, I love the shape and smaller size of the Louisette Bag. The croc-embossed leather will also do a better job of hiding any scratches.

4. A.P.C. Navy Demi-Lune Bag – $515 $299

The Demi-Lune Bag is a favourite among many people. Its structured shape and rounded edge is classic, yet just different enough. Finding these bags on sale is usually rare due to its popularity.

5. McQ Alexander McQueen Silver Hexagonal Glasses – $220 $123

Apart from being a great deal, I love these glasses because of their hexagonal shape. These ones remind me of the Ray Ban sunglasses that I have been seeing everywhere this summer.

6. Adidas Originals White Torsion TRDC Sneakers – $180 $76

If you’ve read my recent blog post, you will know that I love a good pair of dad shoes. These ones are great because the colours and texture make them look more modern than your average pair of chunky sneakers.

7. Adidas Originals White Superstar Pure Sneakers – $150 $69

Everybody needs a good pair of white shoes in their wardrobe. I love this pair because they are monochromatic, leather, well-constructed, and have a classic design.
